SATCo’s Response to Covid-19. Updated September 1st, 2021.
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing to adapt our season to focus on creating student-produced and student-oriented theatre in a safe manner. With this in mind, we are following the guidance of the University of Victoria’s COVID-19 Response Protocols which will inform the nature of our upcoming season.
The Student Alternative Theatre Company (SATCo) is a student driven theatre company that works to reinforce the teachings of the University of Victoria Theatre Department, assist in the development of new work, and provide quality opportunities to emerging artists while upholding a strong artistic vision.
The main principle of SATCo is to provide opportunities for students to use the skills they are learning during their degrees. Many students rely on SATCo to get experience in areas such as directing, stage management, design and acting. Since SATCo is a learning environment, it’s a great way to get practical experience in a safe and supportive, yet professional environment.
